our philosophy
What is our philosophy?
The influence of the construction industry on our climate is enormous. One third of global energy consumption and one fifth of all CO2 emissions can be traced back to buildings. This implies a responsibility. A responsibility that our generation must assume now, because time is pressing. If we don't want to block our future, we have to build on sustainability.
Ecology and economy have long been regarded as opposites. This does not have to be the case. Sustainable building fascinates us not least because it enables us to bring nature and the economy more into harmony again. With the appropriate expertise and the necessary will, we can construct buildings that create economic value, incorporate socio-cultural aspects and provide us with an ecologically sustainable home - without ruining our planet, our home.
Who want's to live in the future, cannot reside in the past.

My name is Gerald Schwaiger and I am managing partner at Zertifix, a licensed ÖGNI Auditor and EU-Taxonomy Advisor. After my education at a higher technical institute, including an engineering degree, I gained several years of experience as a project manager in the construction department at Salzburg Airport. In the meantime, I am working there as a staff unit manager of Strategic Sustainable Airport Planning. Over the years, I have been able to expand my expertise through the university course "Global Executive MBA" at SMBS Salzburg and by obtaining the certificate of competence for the state-certified property developer.
Johannes Holzer
Shareholder
My name is Johannes Holzer and I am a partner at Zertifix, a licensed DGNB & ÖGNI Auditor and EU Taxonomy Advisor. Following my training at a higher technical college, I worked as a demanding construction project manager for one of Austria's largest private construction companies. In addition to the professional management of countless large construction sites, I started my diploma studies in "Civil Engineering" at the HTWK Leipzig.

For five years we shared the school desk at the HTL-Hallein. Despite initial problems in understanding between Lungauer and Tiroler, a deep friendship grew. As we pursued different career paths after school, each developed his individual skills and knowledge in the construction industry. Subsequently, the entrepreneurial spirit on both sides and an irrepressible will to create brought us together again professionally. The decision to found Zertifix GmbH was based on our complementary expertise and our shared vision of a more sustainable construction and real estate industry. We are convinced that trust and cohesion are the foundation of any successful business. Also between Lungauer and Tiroler.
